Cold Mix is a bituminous mixture containing mineral aggregate, water and binder (Tailor made cationic bitumen emulsion) prepared by a suitable device like concrete mixture or Cold Mix plant or a modified hot mix plant.
Cold Mix can be proceeded in all seasons and even with wet aggregates. technology is cost effective as well as environment friendly but also construction work.
Cold Mix Technology is field application of mix design based tailor-made bitumen binders with the available aggregates without need of any heating in an environment-friendly manner.
It is not necessarily supply of specified grade of bitumen emulsions.
We have used Cold Mix Binder from BONAFIDE TAR CO of Kolkata for our project Construction of road. The product was found to good workability and could be laid and compacted easily. The product on testing was found to have more than 67% binder residue content, as evaluated by the engineers from the Department We wish to work further with Cold Mix Binder from BONAFIDE TAR CO in our future projects also.
